Is Mediolateral Head Motion during the Seated Hip Flexion Test and Indoor Cycling Test Associated with Core Stability?

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background Appropriate evaluation of core stability is needed to efficiently evaluate the rehabilitative effectiveness various training programs. Symmetry in mediolateral head motion during cycling test depends on status. The seated hip flexion requires one motions. Purpose aim this study was investigate whether symmetry and tests stability. Study design A cross-sectional Methods total 75 subjects with poor (n=27) or good (n=48) participated study. We measured angle tests, then compared results between individuals Results There no significant difference test, although group showed greater asymmetry test. Conclusions Our findings imply that indoor can be used estimate stability; however, not appropriate for evaluating Proper resistance lower extremity movements invoke stability-dependent frontal plane, considering differences tests.

Limited hip and knee flexion during landing is associated with increased frontal plane knee motion and moments.

BACKGROUND It has been proposed that female athletes who limit knee and hip flexion during athletic tasks rely more on the passive restraints in the frontal plane to deceleration their body center of mass. This biomechanical pattern is thought to increase the risk for anterior cruciate ligament injury. To date, the relationship between sagittal plane kinematics and frontal plane knee motion and...

BACKGROUND To describe the association between body mass index (BMI) and a positive response during a head-up tilt test (HUT) in patients referred for an investigation of syncope. METHODS Observational study of patients referred for the diagnostic evaluation of syncope. Patients were divided into four groups according to their BMI: <18.5 kg/m(2), 18.5-24.9 kg/m(2), 25-29.9 kg/m(2), and > 30 k...
